I loooooooooooove how Pac is very appropriately described in his introduction for the Malcolm X dinner as a "second generation revolutionary" :)
Now days, the words "revolutionary" & "Malcolm X" are casually & ignorantly thrown around so much in describing this artist or that artist, without really UNDERSTANDING the mind-set of what it actually takes to be a true revolutionary - it's a complete "lifestyle" & dedication of one's entire mission in life to THE "cause" - not just talking the talk!
There may be other artists that are socially conscious, but NONE have received as many actual vocal comparisons to Malcolm X as Pac did!
It's because he exhibited the same intense & passionate level of dedication, unafraid attitude,
bravery to speak out, & sacrifice as the original revolutionary, Malcolm X, himself!
He represented the struggle of his people to the fullest, which is why no one has gotten as much love as he has!
He presented the "plight" of the people, thoroughly & completely!
While he was here to do work he felt compelled to do, such as the furthering of social justice, there were always those petty-minded & trivial folks who, desperate for their 15 minutes of semi-attention, tried to beef with him over silly nonsense - mainly due to their resentment over his success!
Pac was THE ROCKY OF RAP, the CHAMP - the crowned prince!
The nobodys knew that the only way they could get any kind of play was to try to attack him which only showed their secret admiration for Pac :)
They all wanted to be him, but none managed to be Pac but Pac himself :)
It's cause he never tried to be anything but who he was - unlike the others.
The haters, all the while hatin', still totally jocked his style & secretly wished they could be just like him :)
Who could blame them?
Greatness in their faces must have been hard to handle & digest without envy :)

What a cool remix - love the Arabic sound in the background, it gives it that extra flavor of soul.
Even in his DEATH, his enemies still couldn't get the best of Pac or win with him.
They might have come at him like cowards with a whole lot of cheap shots, but he still died the greatest and most loved hip hop legend of all time.
Why? Cause he was "God's Own Soldier". He was always bigger than the "hate" that was coming toward him from those who were corrupted by evil and couldn't see clearly.
Pac's spirit was beautiful and that's why he always said:
" I can look in the mirror and see my soul. That's what makes me shine, a lot of people have a problem being true to themselves...I'm still gonna do me...everyday...all day" No amount of "evil" ever killed his spirit & that's why his spirit still lives on through his legacy which is cherished by his fans all over the world.
He left something greater than just himself.
He had a bigger purpose in life than just himself.
Pac = truth = my heart
As a literary artist, Shaekespeare was a very "inspirational" figure for Tupac by his own admission since he respected his work a great deal & saw a lot of "truths" in his literary messages that he agreed with.
But he never failed to give credit to Shaekespeare as his major inspiration.
True artists do get "inspired" by those greats that came before them but they never "rob".
"Honor" is what separates a coward from a soldier.

Tupac Shakur was THE truest soul that has EVER been in the rap game & one of THE truest souls that has EVER graced the entire earth!
As someone that has been a HUUUUUUGE fan of his for years & years, I can honestly say that he has truly "touched my soul" like no other artist.
I "feel" everything he is about, everything he wanted to do, his whole mentality in life in wanting to contribute to society in a real & profound way, & his "dedication" to truth-seeking & truth-presenting!
Raw to the core!
His intelligence was such that he could have been the modern day Malcolm X since he brought the same socio-political knowledge, the same intensity for leadership, & the same "no-nonsense" attitude to defending not only his own rights, but the rights of his people & those he deemed to be the underdogs of society, & standing up AGAINST oppression, this fake & evil system, & injustice!
As he said:"God has cursed me to see the truth & see what life SHOULD be like, so I feel like I'm doing God's work"
Once you're taught about in an academic setting,as Pac's legacy is being discussed & taught in higher education institutions like UC Berkeley & Harvard, you're a cultural icon & a profound
revolutionary legend.
I had the pleasure of taking the very 1st Tupac class offered in UC Berkeley where his work was disected on a socio-political & poetic level.
A phenomenal poet, a kind soul, a dedicated social activist, a major inspiration, the greatest hip hop legend that ever lived,& courageous leader!
Thank you so much for adding all these amazing and rare Tupac clips for his true fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is loved, respected, and idolized by many many people, even outside of the hip hop world -
he is loved universally and profoundly!!!!!!!!!!!
He was the unifier through his charisma, light, voice, & magic!

Tupac Shakur: Hip Hop "Scholar" & Cultural "Revolutionary"
Much talk and attention has been devoted to the profound effect and legacy of legend, Tupac Shakur. Tupac was the epitome of what one can classify as a "conscious" artist for he often incorporated dire and extremely relevant, and often times "ignored", socio-political themes and messages into his work, which at times, was overlooked by the public or the critics due to false attention being placed on the "controversial" aspect of his public persona or raps. Tupac represented a dichotomy, but it is that very dichotomy that made him a unique legend and the most loved and idolized personality in the history of hip hop music! The media had classified him as a "thug", whereas his true fans, and those with a deep intellectual understanding of his personality, message, and "vision", classified him as a true "revolutionary" out to better society, and out to serve as a social humanitarian advocating "truth seeking", "social justice", and "truth promoting". His ultimate goal as an artist was to encourage expansive thinking and self-empowerment, encouraging young people to let go of the shackles placed on their minds by society.
